Help provide a loving home by following our adoption process below

1. View

African Tails does not have a kennel facility, as all of our animals are in foster homes. To find out about our animals that are currently available, check out the ‘Take me Home’ section on the home page. Once you have seen an animal you like and you wish to meet them at their foster home, contact our adoptions officer on 021 510 7360 or email adoptions@africantails.co.za. Alternatively you can submit your adoption form below.

2. site visit

Before we can make your adoption official, we’ll need to visit
your home, to ensure that it’s a secure and suitable home for
your new baby.

3. ADOPTION FEES

R1000 inclusive of:

Sterilisation (compulsory)

Microchip (compulsory)

De-worming and Flea treatment

First Vaccination (Please note that
vaccinations due after date of
adoption will be your responsibility)

Our cats are also tested for FeLV and FIV before adoption.

4. congratulatory moment

Once all paperwork has been completed and approved and the adoption fee paid, the adoption is official and your dog or cat’s happy ending is finally complete. Please note, the adoption
application form is a legal and binding contract, so please ensure you familiarize yourself with our adoptions terms and conditions. Pets are for life, thus we encourage adoptees to make sure they are ready to make that life time commitment and have the means to provide long term medically, emotionally and physically for a new pet.
